Club House

  • Where is the clubhouse located? The clubhouse is located at the end of Marilyn drive (114 Marilyn Drive) and is adjacent to the Riverwood pool and playground.
  • What is the capacity of the clubhouse? The capacity of the clubhouse is approximately 50 people.
  • What types of facilities are available? The clubhouse is equipped with restroom facilities, tables and chairs, a small kitchen which includes a refrigerator, microwave, cooktop, and cabinet storage. An outdoor gas grill is also available.
  • Who can use the clubhouse? The clubhouse is available to all dues paying members of the Riverwood Improvement Association(RIA). It is not necessary to be a member of the Riverwood pool in order to use the clubhouse. All activities involving dependents must have adult supervision, with at least 1 adult per 10 dependents/guests. The RIA member, who reserved the clubhouse, must be present during the activity.
  • Is the use of the pool included when you reserve the clubhouse? No, only pool members may use the pool. At any time the pool is used all current Riverwood pool rules apply.
  • Who is responsible for approving a request to reserve the clubhouse? The clubhouse manager will approve and schedule activities at the clubhouse. Any special functions other than birthday parties, cookouts, etc. must be approved by the RIA Board of Directors. To reserve the clubhouse and arrange to pick up the key contact the clubhouse manager.

  • What does it cost to use the clubhouse? In an effort to maximize the use of the clubhouse, and to encourage more residents to become involved in the community, the RIA board has decided to try a few modifications to the current flat rate rental for the clubhouse. The RIA is rolling this out on a trial basis. Modifications may be made in the future.
  • Starting January 1, 2016, the clubhouse will be available FREE of charge on weekday mornings (M-Th) prior to 12:00 p.m. for any open activity for Riverwood Residents. For example, if someone wants to start an exercise class, kiddie playgorund group, arts and craft day, etc., they would just need to reserve the morning with RoseAnne Brodie (985-892-6246) and follow the existing protocol for the deposit and piking up the key. Reservation will be required and will be on a first come/first served basis. The free rentals will be limited to one per week and cannot be private or exclusionary of any resident.
  • In addition, clubhouse rentals on weekday evenings (M-Th) will be half price. These rentals are $17.50 and are subject to all established rental guidelines.
  • The regular rental of $35 will apply to all Friday, Saturday, and Sunday rentals regardless of time of day.
  • A $100 deposit is required when you pick up the key. If the clubhouse is not cleaned after your use, the cost to have the clubhouse cleaned will be deducted from your deposit. Any additional fees above the $100 deposit will be billed to you for payment.
  • When is the clubhouse available? The clubhouse is available at any time during the year. The clubhouse may be reserved during the hours the pool is open but it must be understood that the clubhouse facilities remain available to pool members during this time. Cooperation between RIA members is expected.
  • When should the clubhouse be cleaned up following a function? Cleanup after daytime functions must be completed immediately following the function. If a nighttime function is held, the clubhouse must be cleaned by 10:00 AM the following day.
